hua's call to file this as a chunk rather than grammar (2026-09-18), and it was the right one: you reach for the whole frame when you produce it, and it collapses as a whole when you don't.
om opens it, te + infinitive closes it, and everything else sits between them, however long — five words in s18. With a separable verb the te goes inside: om mee te gaan. Do NOT use it after a modal (ik moet werken, no te). The two sides of hua's own evidence, one lesson apart: s18 correct on the first try; s31 collapsed — "voor twee weeken … te ??" instead of om nog twee weken te werken. Held at met, not produced: one hit and one miss is not yet a skill. Verb-specific entries (beloven om … te, iemand vragen om … te) stay — they record what that verb takes; this one records the frame itself, and a sentence legitimately links to both.
